It can be sad to do- I still have a picture of One Note Samba on my FB page- He will be gone 2 years on Friday- and I don't have the heart to take it down.BlindLucky wrote:There are some in my VS that I just don't have the heart to remove until I make a permanent list of those I kept up with... horses like Big Truck and Tin Cup Chalice are still there for that reason. I just hate to remove them and forget themserenassong wrote:Crap- I hate when I have to remove them from my Virtual Stable for a reason like this. R. I. P.

Woo Hoo! Once she got out front by about 2, jock took a hold of her and pretty much geared her down- came home by 5. Wonder where she goes next.mariasmon wrote:She won. BTW- from the last time I saw her, she looks bigger to me- maybe she just needed a bit more time to grow.

In the same race was the nicely bred Empire Maker, a daughter of multiple Grade 1 winner, Ticker Tape, by Empire Maker. She cost $400K at auction, too. Graham Motion trains.mariasmon wrote:She won. When I saw her as a foal, she was all butt. I'd like to think being in the barn of a trainer who trains horses to race (instead of training to train) might help, but it looks like LoPresti's had her less than a month.serenassong wrote:Woo Hoo! They have some good options. This one felt like Lopresti just trying to get a nice confidence builder into her as the Presque Isle maiden races often come up pretty weak, especially since Saratoga has started and a lot of Graham Motion's better maidens will probably end up there. They can either shoot for another one at Presque Isle, or he could just as easily put her on the turf at a NYRA track (depending on timing) or Churchill in September. I'm sure she'll end up at Keeneland in an allowance in October.serenassong wrote: Wonder where she goes next.

Looks like a very tall task. 1 1/8 off the long layoff. To her benefit, it doesn't look like there are any worldbeaters in the field. The Mott, Pletcher, Arnold and Motion horses each look fine, but beatable.mariasmon wrote:Samantha Nicole is entered for Fri. at SAR, R3. She's now with Kiaran McLaughlin.

I'm thinking that she will race at Keenland - her last two works were over there.dustino140 wrote:They have some good options. Although I'm sure Lopresti has placed a hex on Keeneland for opting to switch back to dirt, I think it's a safe assumption that she's targeted for a race at Keeneland.serenassong wrote:I'm thinking that she will race at Keenland - her last two works were over there.dustino140 wrote:They have some good options. Interesting. Wish they could just get one race in her where nothing goes wrong to cause her to lose. If she loses, I want it to be lack of talent, not flipping her palate, etc.mariasmon wrote:And Eblouissante is entered for R2 at DMR on Sun. She's trying turf.
She's been a frustrating horse to follow.

Liza Doolittle Day (by Curlin, 1/2 to Dialed In) won her debut by 3 1/4 lengths today at Delaware.
Also debuting in the race was Dearest One (Macho Uno x Dearest Trickski) who finished 7th.

Looks like they're off the turf again at Del Mar for the weekend, so I guess it's Polytrack or scratch!Kay16 wrote:Hope it works out!mariasmon wrote:And Eblouissante is entered for R2 at DMR on Sun. She's trying turf.
