Jess's Dream (Curlin/Rachel Alexandra) could make his debut at Saratoga. Nice!
The colt is still at the training farm in Ocala, and Banke stated that she was still looking for a trainer. “I think there is a 20 percent chance he could run here,” Banke said Friday. “But it would be later in the meet.”

Banke is 'still looking for a trainer?' Would this be some fallout from the PETA/Blasi brouhaha?
I would think that this time last year, the colt would most likely have been headed to Asmussen.

Not a fall out at all. Banke pulled most of her horses from Asmussen before the Peta stuff. She also put in a good word for Asmussen. She has had some horses with Pletcher for a while now and most recently placed some with McLaughlin.....others as well. Spreading the love.

I think you are mistakenly thinking Banke is looking for a trainer. She has multiple trainers and has for the last couple of years at least. She is looking for a fit for Jess's Dream is what she meant by that comment. Not a trainer in general. As I mentioned, she has several.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:Banke is 'still looking for a trainer?' Up With The Birds, 2nd dam Wilderness Song, won the Nijinsky S. (Can-II) in style yesterday. Off the turn he almost got squeezed in by Za Approval, but fought back and galloped away from them in the stretch to win by 4 lengths.
They are hoping to stretch this little colt out later this year. Definitely nice to see him win again!

Just noticed, 2yo half brother to Royal Delta and Crown Queen, Khozan is at Saratoga and had 2 3f breezes there though pretty far apart. Still, here's hoping a start is soon to be!

That is only a week apart, I would consider that the normal spacing for most workouts.carole wrote:Just noticed, 2yo half brother to Royal Delta and Crown Queen, Khozan is at Saratoga and had 2 3f breezes there though pretty far apart. Still, here's hoping a start is soon to be!

Lol my mistake, I read that as 7th of July and 6th of March That's what you get for being British (and missing the 0 from the 30 )Flanders wrote:That is only a week apart, I would consider that the normal spacing for most workouts.carole wrote:Just noticed, 2yo half brother to Royal Delta and Crown Queen, Khozan is at Saratoga and had 2 3f breezes there though pretty far apart.
