Very nice win for J. L.'s Princess in the 10th at Arlington today. Making her first start on grass in an allowance, she went from last to first under a terrific ride from her jockey, who took her up the rail late.

Caught the Res Judicata race on Monday.
He is a very good sprinter at 6 to 7 furlongs.
I think 7 is about his limit.
Basically an allowance horse who could win a small stakes.

A nice win by Res Judicata yesterday. It certainly was not as good as his previous, and perhaps may have bounced, but it was not a tough spot. And maybe Servis was worried about that and kept him in this spot. He won a state-bred N2X last time. How was he able to run back in this same condition?

He earned an impressive 103 beyer figure in his win off the layoff on 6/9. Not bad off a 6-month rest. Acutally that figure was one of the highest numbers of any Smarty to date and probably top-five.

I think he is better now than last year and still has a shot of being a Graded Stakes winner(at least G3), at a 2nd-tier track. I would like to see him get one more shot against the big boys, maybe at Saratoga. And maybe the Alfred G. Vanderbilt(G1). I do think he is better than just allowance races and would think he can win many more ungraded stakes. I'm a bit surprised Servis has not been more aggressive with his races, because he has the talent to run against better.

Res Judicata -- If he can get a fairly easy lead, he's OK. Once he is headed, he tends to pack it in.
I like him at six furlongs or six and a half furlongs -- not as much at seven.

Sky Captain, now on three-race winning streak, beat Grade 1 winner Frac Daddy in this 1 1/4 mile race.
Frac Daddy was 1 to 9.
Sky Captain was rested for his entire three-year-old year after an injury.

Calder canceled today's races based on a "management decision". I haven't heard any details, but that's what Equibase shows under Entries/Cancellations.

Sky Wise pretty much stopped on the grass at the top of the stretch after setting the pace in a one mile allowance race at Philly Park. Rider may have been at fault.
