Big jump for War Front, but I'd say it's warranted.
That's a bigger jump than I was expecting, but Claiborne shouldn't have any trouble filling his book.

It is probably full already.

Someone on another forum said, "when they were at Claiborne a couple of weeks ago, the staff there showed them War Front and spoke about his stud fee going up to over 100k. They also said that he might be going into the top stall at Claiborne which is empty now and was Bold Ruler's, Secretariat's and Easy Goer's stall." So Claiborne thinks very highly of him if they are even thinking about doing that. I didn't even know who he was really until it was announced that Zenyatta was being bred to him. He has had great success so far and I think it will only get better. I hope so anyway.

I would hate to see him in the "big boy" stall, honestly. Horses in that stall have died prematurely. Should probably leave it empty. I guess I am a little superstitious.

I think that stall has bad karma. Leave him where he is; he's done very well from there.

I've thought the same thing about that stall. Weren't Lure and Unbridled in it also?

The one across from it should be empty now, too, since Pulpit is gone. Unless they put Data Link in there.

Bind retires to Jay Adcock’s Red River Farm in Coushatta, Louisiana. He will stand for $1,500 as property of Claiborne, Dilschneider and Nathan Granger.

He could find some interest as a regional sire, IMO, plus it helps that he is a son of the late Pulpit.

Ken Ramsey said postrace [QEII Challenge, won by Kitten's Dumplings] that he feels Kitten's Joy could become "the Storm Cat of turf sires."

DRFBreeding ‏@DRFBreeding 5m
Ramsey added that he was offered $20 million for a 49 percent share in Kitten's Joy prior to this season, which he declined.

DRFBreeding ‏@DRFBreeding 5m
Kitten's Joy stood for 50K this year; Ramsey said fee will be at least 100K in 2014.

Interesting. Wonder who made the offer? And I still think a 6-figure stud fee is too much, considering the commercial market hasn't caught up. I daresay many of those who have bred to him are breeding to race, though.

Aside from the peerless Galileo, what other son of Sadler's Wells has done as well as El Prado? His legacy, through Medaglia D'Oro, Mr. Livingston (whom we lost too soon), Kitten's Joy, Artie Schiller, Borrego, Spanish Moon, Paddy O'Prado, Fort Prado and O'Prado Again (please feel free to jump in with anyone I missed), has been extraordinary. Not only a sire of sires, he is also a tremendous broodmare sire.
His descendents aren't just grass horses, either. MDO has done pretty well with his dirt runners...Rachel, anyone?
Thanks in great part to Ken Ramsey's efforts, Kitten's Joy may turn out to be the most successful of El Prado's sons. I'll be really interested in watching horses like Big Blue Kitten when they go to the shed, to see if KJ has the juice to also become a sire of sires.

Montjeu was a pretty nice sire. I'm not sure how he has done as a Sire of Sires.

Guess we'll know more when we start seeing St. Nick, Pour Moi and Camelot babies on the track.

Old Vic was the top jumps sire in the UK and Ireland for many years, although he is unlikely to have a stallion son to carry on his legacy.

Darn. Don't see too many stallions with his kind of pedigree. http://www.pedigreequery.com/mccanns+mojave

Motivator sired Treve but he has had mixed results besides that. He has 5 crops of racing age, including 2yos, with 2 G1SWs and a total of 9 Group winners, 8 Listed winners. He has been moved to France where his best runners have been to date.
Hurricane Run has 4 crops of racing age, including 2yos. Only one G2SW and a total of 8 Group winners and 11 Listed winners. Has been moved to Germany.
Authorized has 3 crops, including 2yos. One G1SW and a total of 4 Group winners and 6 listed winners. He is standing at Dalham Hall.
