You would see a lot of changes in the Triple Crown -- and soon.

I agree with Coburn that if you don't run in the Derby, you shouldn't run in the other two legs.

And the schedule needs to be spaced out.

Bailey was already talking about how they might gang up on CC.
(he should know, the little creep)

I certainly agree-and yes, Bailey knows only to well how to do that-and he is in the Hall of Fame!!!!!!!! or did I spell that wrong. we certainly know how to pick for the HOF. just saying

They desperately need a Triple Crown winner to reinvigorate the sport but the powers-that-be do everything to prevent it from happening.
Just stupid.

You are so right! I am still so upset at Bailey over Smarty. I will never get over that-he caused damage to Smarty and if Smarty had not been so strong would have caused more damage. Smarty was hurt and the people who wanted him to run again were just wrong-he could have been hurt really bad. It just seems ganging up on a horse is so juvenile!!!!! kids will be kids I guess. :(

Francois is entered in the G3 Hanshin Cup at ARL on Saturday. Drew very wide in a full field, though.

You are always welcome. :D

Keiai Gerbera's 2014 colt and Smarty Dance's 2014 filly will be offered at the JRHA Select Sale on July 15th.
So we will have an opportunity to watch broodmares and their foals live on the internet.
I hope I can bring some picks, too.

Run Smart One -- tiring sixth in a $6,250 Calder claimer.
Maybe a rest is in order.

Actually the first time I have seen RSO this tired-Can't get ahold of Mr. B. But he will rest RSO a lot, I am sure. Maybe this is retirement time and now that Mr. B has other horses-RSO would make a great stable pony!!!!!!

Jane, as much as we root for and admire Run Smart One, he is losing his ability to run what I would call "racehorse times."
He has been fortunate to be with a group of $5,000 claimers who face each other regularly and he has been the smartest and most consistent of the bunch -- but fading after 1.15+ six furlongs is not indicative of a racehorse.

I think you are right -- it's retirement time. He has repaid his owner several times over and deserves to retire in dignity.

It's wild down in Panama. ;-) Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDdry0fK5nU Don't worry about the early poor video quality. Just wait for the very long duel between the 2 favorites.
