Clever Names for horses

A couple of names I ran across recently:

Stop Smiling, filly, (2011) It's No Joke x Starinthemeadow

The Name Was Gone, mare, (2000) Gone for Real x Secretos Dance

Pun (2004) Pulpit (1994) x Joke (1998)

Older names:
Percussion (1923) x Sir Gallahad III:
Three Bangs (1935 gelding)
Bang Bang (1937 filly)
Tom-Tom (1938 colt)

Pancake (1918) had foals named: Quick Batter, (1925); Hot Griddle (1932)

Acutissima (1910) had foals named By Golly (1917); By Gosh, (1919)

Falsetto (1876) out of Pearl Thorn: Counter Tenor (1892) USA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countertenor

It is kinda clever, but I thought of the jockey- Jorge Chavez- rode mainly in NY for those who don't know and that was his nickname.

Our partnership has a bright chestnut colt named Copperplate (Curlin x Verdana Bold). His dam's name is a font, his sire is shiny like a penny and so is he, so he was also given the name of an appropriate font :D
