I wish they'd move her up in class. I think she's better than Emerald Downs.Barbaro06 wrote:Stopshoppingdebbie started her season with a win by 4 in the Hastings Handicap at Emerald downs. She is now 6 for 6.

I agree. Like the announcer said, she is the queen of that track. She hasn't really had any competition. There aren't any graded races for her up there and I'm pretty sure she set a track record last year.ChampionCurlin wrote:I wish they'd move her up in class. She races against the same group of horses in every race. She's already established that she's better than all of them. Maybe they're just in it for the easy money.Barbaro06 wrote:I agree. Edit: I did some digging and found an article from April in which the trainer and owner discuss the possibility of sending her to the BC Distaff, although her trainer wants to continue racing her at his home track before they decide. You'd think they'd want to test her elsewhere before sending her to the BC but it's their horse of course.

Thanks for posting that article, its quite interesting. I'm not sure how competitive she would be in the distaff, but she sure deserves a shot against better horses. Although, Blueberry Smoothie and Goin to the Window aren't bad fillies themselves. Blueberry Smoothie is out of a stakes winning daughter of Taste The Passion (Stopshoppingdebbie's dam) and she is a Giants Causway filly. Goin to the Window is by Tapit out of a winning Indian Charlie mare who broke her maiden at Saratoga.ChampionCurlin wrote: She races against the same group of horses in every race.
