Hi guys. I'm one of the founding people on this, so I can vouch for authenticity.
A law contact let me know about a case where a man died and left 17 horses and 2 mules. They are to be dissolved with the rest of the estate, and were going to auction. We (we being a group of individuals and a rescue) stepped in to stop that from happening, knowing that horses in their condition and with their history (none broke to ride) would likely get snatched up by kill buyers. We have someone ready to buy all of them, making an offer soon, and we're trying to raise some money to offset the costs to her.
