I don't think there was any chance he was going to the BC this year. He hadn't worked since being injured in his last race.

Street Sense(USA) left from Darley Japan on October 1st.
He is now in the export quarantine.

Kenichiro Mishima (representative director of Darley Japan) said, ''He is a very promising stallion as he sired six graded winners including two G1 winners this year (worldwide). It's a shame that he will leave from Japan. But we will look forward to his further success in the US as well as his babies success in Japan.''
This year Street Sense covered 144 mares in Japan at a fee of 4,500,000 JPY (about 45K USD).

There was no indication that he would shuttle to Australia this year in that article.
They just noted that he would stand at Jonabell Farm Kentucky next year.

Johannesburg has already sired twenty-two 2yo winners so far, ten of whom are out of Sunday Silence-line mares.(Sunday Silence 4, Agnes Tachyon 4, Special Week 1, Bubble Gum Fellow 1).
Japanese breeding has always been looking for stallions who are compatible with the Sunday Silence blood.
King Kamehameha, Symboli Kris S and Kurofune are doing very well.
But they need a new star.
It may be a bit too early to tell, but Johannesburg does look like a promissing candidate.
He has the speed.

And today, Horai Akiko(JPN), 2011F. Johannesburg(USA) x Horai Sunday(JPN) by Sunday Silence(USA), won the G2 Daily Hai Nisai Stakes 1600m turf in record time beating the boys. She is undefeated 3 for 3!!

Shadwell freshman sire Aqlaam died of a gutteral pouch infection, as Shadwell announced Oct 5. This was a blow to Shadwell, as he was looking like an exciting stallion.

Those pasterns don't scream soundness. They're definitely long and straight.

I don't think North Light or Silent Name got enough of a shot in KY. Silent Name did race in the US, though. But he's doing well as a sire in Canada, so perhaps he's where he belongs. And he's not particularly good looking North Light, on the other hand, is gorgeous.

I was hoping to get around to meeting him while he was in Aurora... guess not. He probably should have stayed in Kentucky, but I don't think he was getting a lot of support there either
