Nice video!

The condescending look on Orfevre's face when the man clucks to him is priceless.

Wow, that's an impressive list of champions. I believe 26 is the same number of champions Northern Dancer sired. Once again I can only sigh at the loss to U.S. breeding when Sunday was sold to Japan, but am happy that he was able to make such a great contribution to breeding in Japan.

Oh, thank you!
I didn't know that.

I for one believe that Sunday Silence can be rated on par with (or even higher than) any other most prominent sire-lines in the world of our time.
But I understand and strongly hope that the Yoshida brothers will work harder to make Sunday Silence more international and really proud --- for ''the best interest'' of the great stallion.
How wonderful it would be if Deep Impact, Daiwa Major and Zenno Rob Roy stood in North-America, Stay Gold, Orfevre and Neo Universe in Europe, for example?

Harp Star(JPN), 2011F. Deep Impact(JPN) x Historic Star(JPN) by Falbrav(IRE), won in the G1 Oka Sho (Japanese Thousand Guineas) 1600m turf at Hanshin on April 13, equaling Apapane's race record.
The Deep Impact filly turned the table on 2yo champ Red Reveur in a thrilling finish, improving her record to 5-4-1-0.
Like Buena Vista, Harp Star is trained by Hiroyoshi Matsuda.
And this race reminded me of the match-up between Buena Vista and Red Desire in 2009.
