Always Dreaming has died of colic. Shame his new Oklahoma connections never got to stand him for a season.

I didn't expect him to go to stud, I figured he had been retired into Godolphin's Lifetime Care program since he hadn't raced in 2 1/2 years.

St Patrick's Day is in the Keeneland January sale. I hope he ends up in a regional marketNenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 6:39 pm Khozan is now at Ocala Stud. Chance It moved to Virginia, I think that leaves St Patrick's Day. What's up with Journeyman? Did I miss something?

I hope he finds a good landing. Coolmore screwed him over when he was racing. For smaller breeders who can't afford Pharoah, Patrick is an option for them.

It's mostly private stud farms buying them. The TJK actually owns fewer stallions than it did 15 years ago while private stud farms have increased in size and number.
Private farms have also been buying lots of broodmares. In addition to 9 mares from KEENOV and 23 mares from the Tattersalls December sale, they bought 46 mares (and 1 weanling) from the Arqana sale in France last week.
On a related note, Tourist's new farm made him a promo video and it is quite something

Sorry, I shouldnt have generalized. I have noticed that a lot of these buys have been by private farms, which probably explains the increased amount of purchases.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 11:37 pmIt's mostly private stud farms buying them. The transitions and effects I wonder if that's the norm over there?Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 11:37 pmIt's mostly private stud farms buying them. The TJK actually owns fewer stallions than it did 15 years ago while private stud farms have increased in size and number.

I was hoping Tourist would stay in the US. Seems Turkey likes the Tiznow line more than we do.

He also is now listed on The Bloodhorse as being at Adcock's Red River Farms. Of course, immediately he comes up with a possible good one in Coal Battle. As a big Slew fan I noted that Coal Front was the first stallion in Kentucky with 3 crosses to Slew (followed by Tiz the Law and Independence Hall). Coal Battle is absolutely the first stakes winner with 6 crosses to Slew as he brings in 3 more through his dam.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 10:03 amAkitaperson wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 9:41 am Did some digging. With zero word from Spendthrift and Red River I found Coal Front. Granted Spendthrift generally doesn't announce where there stallions are off to.

Just looking at the BloodHorse stallion register, Rich Strike has his own page, no fee or location yet. https://www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-reg ... ich-strike

It's been up as TBA for a couple of weeks. Ridiculous that they could have had a deal for him years ago had he just put his ego aside and accepted Rich Strike isn't a KY-caliber stallion prospectothybat_99 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 4:00 pm Just looking at the BloodHorse stallion register, Rich Strike has his own page, no fee or location yet. https://www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-reg ... ich-strike
