sorry if this is a silly question, but why would age have an impact on this?Akitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 11:24 am https://www.drf.com/news/deals-yet-be-a ... ich-strike
No stud deals yet for Rich Strike or Senor Buscador. In the case of Richie I am not shocked in the least. Dawson's wants for him are to high. Dawson wants a farm in KY or NY. Unless it's a smaller farm in KY I doubt anyone in KY will stand him. Most of the bigger farms dont seem to take on 5 year olds (that i have seen). Richie had a deal in NY but the farm backed out.

Spendthrift for example seems to take on mostly 3 year Olds, they might have gotten ones who are 4 but I don't remember. It just seems like the common pattern is if a horse goes past 5 they usually don't land at a big KY farm. Money is a major factor, if the horse has a marketable bloodline and has done well in a handful of starts then it's probably going to wind up at a farm in KY. Spendthrift that I noticed seems to be the frequent big KY farm to take in new stallions every year.

They must have removed it briefly for some reason, because he's on their website now.Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2024 6:33 pm Did plans to stand Classic Causeway at Crestwood fall through? He's no longer listed on the stallion register.

Apparently 3 new stallions will be debuting at stud in Korea for 2025
So far the stallions we know of:
Reincarnate
Preservationist
I wonder who the third is

As of right now my guess is Fed Biz but we'll see what other outcasts disappear from local rosters in the coming weeksAkitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:12 pm Apparently 3 new stallions will be debuting at stud in Korea for 2025

Eclipticalspraline is another one that it might be. I read on fb that Fed Biz is going to Saudia Arabia, zero proof of that officially of course. So he might still go to KoreaNenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:19 pmAs of right now my guess is Fed Biz but we'll see what other outcasts disappear from local rosters in the coming weeksAkitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:12 pm Apparently 3 new stallions will be debuting at stud in Korea for 2025

Currently the only stallions I have written down as "missing" (aka unofficial) are Fed Biz, Eclipticalspraline, War Command, and Long River. A couple of those I have an idea of where they may be but nothing concrete. I'll be doing a sweep of worldwide stud farms tomorrow to see if I can find any other missing castoffs. I'm sure someone will post about the Korean acquisition soon

Pedigreequery (so grain of salt) says Long River went to Iran in 2024 or 2023Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:13 am Currently the only stallions I have written down as "missing" (aka unofficial) are Fed Biz, Eclipticalspraline, War Command, and Long River.
