I had the same reaction recently when FDTV mentioned that a horse named Mischievous Intent's mom was Guarana!Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 12:46 pmThere's no way Fair Maiden has a juvenile already. I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Interesting if Immersive turns out not to be their best filly from this crop, just the most forward as a 2YOCoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:01 pm The very talented Good Cheer [MdO x MG1W Wedding Toast] wins the Golden Rod at CD

Agreed. It will be interesting to see how Cox campaigns them both next year for the Oaks.mariasmon wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 3:39 pmInteresting if Immersive turns out not to be their best filly from this crop, just the most forward as a 2YOCoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:01 pm The very talented Good Cheer [MdO x MG1W Wedding Toast] wins the Golden Rod at CD

Oh, she might be. Or it could turn out that Good Cheer is better. It's even possible that both are equally good, but end up excelling at different distances. Immersive has been in a class by herself this year.Slewfan2 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:26 pmWhy couldn’t she be? I really like these 2 fillies and will be rooting for them. They're different physicals. Neither is particularly tall. Immersive is rangy, with more leg, while Good Cheer is a bit more compact and has big hindquarters. She ran the 2nd fastest Golden Rod time ever, behind Rachel Alexandra.
I just find it fascinating that Godolphin has.likely 2YO champion filly in this crop, but they may have an even better filly in Good Cheer. Time will tell. They're blessed with a nice bunch of soon-to-be 3YOs, males and females.

It sounded from the interviews like Immersive will prep at FG, at least to start. Her vacation is set to end soon, while Good Cheer will just be starting hers. I imagine one of them will show up in the Ashland.CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 3:49 pmAgreed.
