At the racetrack, often going awry is known as Thursday, or Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday.
"Awry" it isn't, in Burns' Scots. Try again.
Neither does it "go" :)
Okay, gang, who's the smartypants?
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

A very green Barnes tried everything to lose the 7th at Churchill, but it looks like he got his nose in front finally.
D. Wayne's Innovator almost won it from the front. And I loved the shot of the two old friends (Baffert & Lukas) waiting for the decision together.

I can't believe he actually won that. Did he even change to the correct lead? Baffert said he (the horse) was acting like a stallion in the paddock, yelling at everyone.

Well, he definitely learned a lot more there than he wouldve being sent to the front in a 5 horse California maiden.

Really impressive, and good that he can get to the wire first in a messy race at Churchill Downs - could be handy at some point in the future!

87 Beyer Speed FIgure for Barnes.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Thought it would have been higher with that fast time and very fast fractions

AP Pharoah account has paddock footage. Nice looking colts.

Cool that a Dixiana bred might be a serious Oaks contender for next year. Book’em, a daughter of Tiz the Law won the 3rd at Churchill today by about 10 lengths and running the mile in 1:34.34. Has won 3 in a row and her only defeat was due to breaking poorly in her debut.

Brad Cox trained Patch Adams came close to breaking the track record in a 7f MSW at Churchill.

Rated by Merit completed his sweep of the FL Sire Series by winning the third leg, the In Reality, today by 6L. He is undefeated (4 for 4). I’m looking forward to seeing how he does in open stakes company.
