I'm surprised War Like Goddess didn't crack 2 million.

They wont say who bought Moira. They just say its a well known major buying and breeding operation.
So my guess, its Yulong. They have a farm in Bayles, Victoria, Australia. That is the only connection of Bayles to thoroughbreds I have found, of course it could be someone else.

Yes, but no one will say who or what Bayles is. If it is Yulong, I’m not sure why there is so much secrecy, they buy top mares all the time.

$6 million for the Belmont Oaks winner???????????
Everyone must have been very surprised.
Masahiro Miki, owner of Justin Palace, Justin Milano etc, is thought to be behind Grand Stud.
I would guess that they really wanted a Frankel mare, but...

Blandford bloodstock bought her on behalf of a client. Wish I could find out who but probably won't ever know. I owned a share in her through mrh so it'd be nice to know where she ends up so I can follow her breeding career. Heard a rumor Australia

Regardless of if my guess is right or wrong, I don't understand why a well known buyer and breeder needs to hide their identity.Northport wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 9:31 amAkitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 8:03 amOn the results page for fasig it says she was bought by BaylesFlanders wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 7:07 am https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... s-for-4-3m

Yulong Stud seems to use different names when they buy mares sometimes it will be Yulong Stud, Zhijun Zhao or a stallion Syndicate (like Panthalassa Syndicate) and there are many more names. So it’s kind of hard tracking what mares they buy unless they announce it.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:58 pmRegardless of if my guess is right or wrong, I don't understand why a well known buyer and breeder needs to hide their identity.Northport wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 9:31 amAkitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 8:03 am

Confirmed that Yulong bought Moira. It’s too late to get her covered on SH time, so they are considering keeping her in training either in North America or Australia. She clearly means the world to Attard, and he knows all of her quirks, but it could be fun if she went to Australia and was able to take to it the way Via Sistina has. (And not the way, say, Alcohol free did)
