Bisou (1st foal out of Midnight Bisou) will debut at Churchill Downs in the 11th race on the 27th

I watched that race- I love Midnight Bisou and with that great pedigree- I was hoping Bisou would do better- hoping the future is bright for this horse

Baffert has a potential monster in Cipriani, who blew the doors off her field. She’s by Bernardini out of a Successful Appeal mare, so not sure if she’ll want longer on that side, but she’s a huge filly

She didn't show the typical Baffert speed but just ground it out over the turn and was much the best. Slow final time but that's not unusual for SA this meeting. Track seems to slow horses down. Anyway, it looks like the Bernardini was in her today with her slow start and powering home.

I didn’t realize until just now that she ran about 2 seconds slower than the other 6 1/2F race….so maybe she’s not that good after all

Might be a horse that needs time to grow and fill out, and some distance. Possibly with another trainer she wouldn’t have started yet?!? Maybe they wanted her to get a race in for the experience… haha, who am I kidding. She’ll be in the next graded stakes for fillies later this year.

It’s hard to knock Bob here - she just made her debut at the end of October, not beginning of May

I can’t exactly blame him if he runs her in, say, the Starlet....or some other stakes; where else would he go?

But yeah, she’s so huge I’m sure she’ll be even faster later on.....but she was very impressive despite the time

I am not really faulting him, I am just saying she might be a horse like Adare Manor who got better with age. I dunno, I feel like another trainer would get that race for experience, then give her a break to grow. But BB doesn’t seem to really do that - if they’re hot, run them. Sometimes not running them is better than running them.
