3yo Perfect American (o/o Star Wisper by Quiet American) will debut on Friday in AQU 5, a 6F MSW. He's very much a long shot on the ML.
And a reminder that 2 Smarties scheduled to run last Saturday in stakes races will run this Saturday.
Jonesy Boy goes in the Stymie at AQU.
Concealed Identity goes in the John B. Campbell Hcp at Laurel (he won last year). He hasn't won in a long time -- but his trainer says he's training really well.
Poor Indian Jones, also originally entered in the Campbell, has to sit it out now -- he's caught in the Parx quarantine.

Am thrilled to report that Better Life was a 2-time winner in the Inglis Singapore Racing Awards for 2013. For the 2nd year, she was declared Champion Stayer, and she won in the apparently hotly contested Champion Four Year Old category. Still bummed that she was retired; think she could have had a bang-up 5yo season.

Concealed Identity finished 3rd in the John B. Campbell Handicap at Laurel this afternoon.

Yep. All 4 of the starters today finished 3rd! At least CI and Jonesy Boy were running in $100K stakes.WarBiscuit wrote:Concealed Identity finished 3rd in the John B. Campbell Handicap at Laurel this afternoon.

Meant to mention this earlier in the month. Devil in Disguise, multiple stakes winner who hasn't run since last June, is back on the worktab -- and is working at Golden Gate! Blasted a bullet 4F in :47.60 this morning.

As yet unnamed, this 2yo colt is by Into Mischief, o/o A Plus, a mare from Smarty's 2nd crop. The colt just moved into Doug O'Neill's barn to start training.

I never heard of any official retirement. Wish he were retired. He's very crooked in front, and has often been off track for extended periods.Gambler wrote:I guess I'm wrong, but I thought that I'll Show Them was retired? I received a workout notification for him from Hawthorne yesterday, 3 furlongs in 37.20.

Old Time Hockey goes in $100,000 AOC turf race at Gulfstream Saturday
Leparoux has the ride.
He's got an outside post in a big, tough field.
New style is going for the front.
We shall see.

Smarty's granddaughter Artemis runs in the G3 Santa Ysabel at SA on Saturday -- 8.5F on dirt. Stevens rides. She's 9/2 on the morning line.
