I am expecting (or hoping for) some kind of retirement announcement for Spanish Mission. He has not raced in over a year and AFAIK is still an entire. He'll be 10 next year. He should get a chance at stud somewhere.

He is a turf marathoner...so maybe National Hunt un the UK, Germany, or perhaps even Japan? Japan already has his dad Noble Mission.

Per Sierra Farm (via DM inquiry);

"American Theorem was retired from racing in August & is going to be standing at stud at a farm in California. We are excited to see him on the next stage of his career"

Saw on Twitter that connections mentioned Equinox as a potential mating. That'd be exciting

Possibly the most hatred towards a owner since the Chrome dude.

A brief summary:

Owner raced her in Sydney for a race with huge prizemoney. Is furious that another horse races her and demands the stewards question the other jockey.

Then races her seven days later in the Cox Plate in a different state her long time jockey describes her as tired horse after the race.

Sacks jockey and races her again 2 weeks later (yesterday) when she bled.

The owner broke her.

Champion trainer Bart Cummings used to say something like "I will train your horse for $70 if you want to tell me how to train the horse it will be double"

If you get a chance watch (or rewatch) the 2024 Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Sydney that Pride of Jenni won. Its ridiculous how good she was. Someone did a painting from this pic and it now hangs in the commentators box at Randwick.
