It’s interesting that Tally Ho says that his size was a factor in why they want him. He is almost 18hh, like, he was nicknamed The Police Horse in pre training because he is so big. Is a horse that big something that breeders are after? He’s going to need some big mares to deliver those foalsMylute wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 10:45 am G1W King of Steel (Wootton Bassett × Eldacar, by Verglas) has been retired to Tally Ho Stud.

I wonder if Tally Ho will market KofS to breeders looking for stallions who could sire good prospects for hurdles, show jumping, three-day or even dressage? An athlete that combines TB speed and competitive fire with the size and strength to handle high fences and hard courses might be attractive to those who aren't just seeking fast racehorses.

Tally Ho doesnt stand any National Hunt stallions, and I would be hesitant to think that they would allow any of their stallions to cover sport horse mares. If anything, their roster is incredibly sprinter/miler focused, with King of Steel being far and away the stamina laden horse on their roster.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 4:20 pm "It’s interesting that Tally Ho says that his size was a factor in why they want him. I wouldnt be surprised if a National Hunt breeder was interested in sending a mare to him due to his size and scope, but I think that would depend a lot of his stud fee. If it’s over €10,000, that would price out almost all NH breeders.

The JC doesn't show a return on him. It must be old info from before he was exported.flytpthestars wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:38 pm Pedigree query mentioned Eavesdropper is at Walmac.... means he was found?

Some psycho puts fake news/happy endings in for a lot of horses. Why? I have no clue. But it's sort of in the same vein as the person that types horses sold overseas were stolen. It's a lot of fantasy on there.flytpthestars wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:38 pm Pedigree query mentioned Eavesdropper is at Walmac.... means he was found?
For example I looked up Bob and John the other day. It says he was sent back from South Korea to Pin Oak and died there. He died in South Korea. Or Battle Plan says he was pensioned and sent back to Overbrook. He was pensioned but he is in Japan and Overbrook doesn't really exist anymore in that capacity. I'm sure there are alot more, guess Eavesdropper makes the fake news list as well. Or Afleet Again who died in SK, his says he was pensioned and returned to the U S where he is living in retirement.

Unfortunately, PQ gets messed with more often than not. For a while, someone was writing "juiced to the gills" on all the Baffert-trained horses. Then someone kept taking down the conformation photo of the broodmare Thong and replacing it with a picture of the undergarments.Flanders wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 12:32 pmSome psycho puts fake news/happy endings in for a lot of horses. His dam died in 2022. I saw her race at Hollywood Park. Always picked up a paycheck in graded stakes competition.Mylute wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 11:42 am
SPW The Street Fighter (Street Boss × Silver Swallow, by Alphabet Soup) appears to be entering stud publicly next year at Rancho San Miguel in California. His dam was placed in 8 graded stakes, including two G1 stakes, and raced from age 2 through 7. He bred two mares in 2023.

Yeah. I try to fix errors, add horses, delete fake ones, etc. But the other day I came across one that looked like 9 generations of fake horses and just didn't have the time to look into it plus I'm waiting on new PC. If I start deleting without having them all open, I wont find them again. And I just cant do this on phone or tablet.Psychotic Parakeet wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 12:50 pmUnfortunately, PQ gets messed with more often than not. Would he have a better chance out in California than Kentucky?

Probably. He has a nice pedigree IMO. He only bred 11 mares this year. Hopefully he gets more support in California!othybat_99 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 2:47 pm Would he have a better chance out in California than Kentucky?

We do not have any sons of More Than Ready in standing stud here in California, so it is helpful. Here is the press release about Catholic Boy from CTBA's site:stelladaniella wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 3:26 pmProbably. He has a nice pedigree IMO. He only bred 11 mares this year. However, Catholic Boy is very pretty, and has a nice pedigree. I've petted him twice at Claiborne. Sweet fella.

I think it'll depend if he stays in the US or not. If he doesn't then we might not.
