The heavy rain NY has been dealing with made today's races at Aqueduct a bit of a need-swim-fins challenge.
I'm bummed that War Like Goddess didnt win though she ran well for 2nd
I wonder if that sloppy track affected her!

Wow the California Crown was a good race. SUBSANADOR (ARG) noses out NATIONAL TREASURE and NEWGATE as they all hit the wire together

Subsanador (ARG) takes the CA Crown under difference-making Mike Smith. Bring on the Classic! :D

I am going to assume that National Treasure will go to the Dirt Mile?

Although I was rooting for War Like Goddess in the Joe Hirsch, I'm rather pleased that the race was won by Far Bridge, an English Channel offspring who is still INTACT. I really hope that this MG1 English Channel colt goes to stud here.

The well-bred Hit Show (Candy Ride x Actress [Tapit]) wore down the brave-on-the-front Cooke Creek to win the run-on-a-river Lukas Classic at Churchill.

Yeah, per DRF. Not sure who else is pointing to it.

Nice effort by Tapit Trice, happy to see him running well. Wish War Like Goddess had three-peated but as always I’m proud of her effort. She’s amazing.

Just when did Wathnan Racing buy both Hit Show and Subsanador? :?
It appears that the Emir of Qatar is still buying ready-made, winning racehorses to stuff his stable.

Subsanador was after the Big Cap in March. Hit Show was recent, this was his first start for the new owner.

Carl Spackler lands the Coolmore Turf Mile for back-to-back grade I's. Although I admit I was rooting for runner-up More Than Looks.
