Even if he does end up standing as a National Hunt stallion, I don't believe there is any law that prevents a broodmare owner from sending his mare to Kyprios. Or Stradivarius and Yeats.

If he actually manages to win the BC Classic, I wonder if The Lads will change his destination to Ashford?

After learning of the great Tepin's passing...last year...it means so much that her last foal, Delacroix, won the G3 Autumn Stakes at Newmarket today.

I am really irked with RacingPost for not even mentioning the colt's dam in this article. Tepin deserves so much better.

Alphonse Le Grande Disqualified from the Cesarewitch, Manxman Promoted
It was confirmed on Tuesday by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) that Alphonse Le Grande (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), first past the post in Saturday's Cesarewitch Handicap at Newmarket, has been disqualified after apprentice jockey Jamie Powell was found to have used his whip above the permitted level.

Anmaat wins the Champion Stakes in an incredibly messily run race. Tons of bumping and shoving in the home straight. Calandagan ran incredibly well considering he missed the break by 3 lengths, then got boxed in and bumped nonstop in the last 2 furlongs.

Email from RP:

The public vote for the 2024 Cartier Racing Awards is open, with horseracing fans invited to have their say before the deadline on Tuesday, November 12 at noon.

Members of the public can vote in eight categories from a shortlist of ten horses in each, with all participants entered into a draw to win a special prize from Cartier.

Votes make up 35 per cent of the final outcome and are combined with points earned in Pattern races and the opinions of a panel of racing journalists and handicappers.

Geldings are eligible for the two age-specific colt categories to ensure Europe's best horses are recognised, while they are also eligible for the Cartier Horse of the Year, Older Horse, Sprinter and Stayer categories.

The 34th Cartier Awards will take place at the Dorchester Hotel in London on the evening of Wednesday, November 20.

City of Troy isn't surprising, but as a fan I would have loved for Kyprios to get it for his undefeated season.

What’s wild is that there isn’t an Older Mare category. Bluestocking wins three G1s, including the Arc, but goes home emptyhanded.
