Its not done very often by any farm. I can't say if they did or if they didn't. The farm has been around for awhile and like every farm they've had a lot of stallions that moved on.brunanas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 8:58 pmhas Hill n' Dale ever sold a stallion through auction before? not surprised to see World of Trouble go, but kinda surprised to see it be through an auction.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 6:31 pm A couple stallions end up in the sale every year, this year its:

Farms only enter stallions in these sales because they can't move them in other ways or they use the sale catalog to tell buyers they are for sale. Its possible he gets purchased before the sale, that does happen sometimes.

I'll take a guess to probably a country in Asia or South America. I'd like if he would stay in the states though.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 11:32 pmIf I had to guess, I would say he goes out of country.othybat_99 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 7:05 pmI hope Classic Causeway goes somewhere good, I've always liked him since the 2022 DerbyFlanders wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 6:31 pm A couple stallions end up in the sale every year, this year its:

For the buyer to turn around and sell Diva Delight so quickly makes me wonder why they have such buyer's remorse. Could she be difficult to handle? Likes to eat fingers? Kicks like a mule trying out for NFL field goal kicker position? Tries to emasculate every stallion that comes near her?

I feel like it’s more like people trying to constantly catch the crest of a wave and make a buck. All it takes are two people who want the same
horse at the same time for a horse to go for crazy money.
The people that pay millions for these horses are not the ones handling them. I’ve dealt with broodmares that arent even great producers who still get kept around, because it isn’t the farm owners problem if she bites and kicks. The grooms just have to be more cautious.

Its not buyers remorse. She was an out in 2017. In 2018 she was sold. She was sold again in 2019 for 450k more than she was bought for(she did have a Justify stud fee in her though), but that is still a nice profit in a year. She was a RNA in 2022. And now she is 17, which to me means, the current owner doesn't want to pay to take care of a mare that is coming towards the end of her breeding career. Time to cash out and avoid that part.
