So to confirm a discussion we had earlier, Showcase
is done for the year due to a non-surgical issue

Always a give away when they leave his website. Still disappointed but hopefully he'll be back just as good next year.Slewfan2 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 2:47 pm So to confirm a discussion we had earlier, Showcase

I’m so glad I know about that, because I tend to get worried if a horse doesn’t work when they’re supposed to, lol. One of the babies I’m following has kind of a varied work pattern, but at least I know he’s ok when he’s showing on the listEssential Quality wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 4:52 pmAlways a give away when they leave his website. Yeah, it doesn’t sound serious, so that’s the good news

lol it's always a good thing, it's also good when Equibase is late updating works and not all them get out immediately, his website is always updated with every horse between 12:30 and 1 EST Time. Also knowing if a horse worked with another one because the times will be the same on his.Slewfan2 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 5:06 pmI’m so glad I know about that, because I tend to get worried if a horse doesn’t work when they’re supposed to, lol. I always check to see who my horse has worked with - sometimes it’s interesting (like one or two times, the baby I’m following worked with a 3 year old)
Oddly, sometimes I see that the works listed on Todd’s site are a bit off from the EQU ones…

15 winners now. 13 in the USA, 1 in Ireland and 1 in Sweden. he is looking like a better turf sire than a dirt sire but he's now had two really impressive winners on the dirt.
do you have any baby pics that you can share? didn't realize she was Dixiana bred.
i like plushies. a lot.

Have a nice filly by him out of a young mare Bries Lucky Charm. I know the farm did breed a mare or two to him this year but don’t think any are in foal to himbrunanas wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 8:04 pmi remember her now... time flies!Summer Bird wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 7:55 pmI wish I could figure out how to share photos from Facebook again. Just saw a really impressive 2yo filly win the 9th at Churchill, a 1 1/16-mile Allowance for 2yo fillies on the sloppy dirt. The Cox-trained Good Cheer (MdO x Wedding Toast) must have finished 12-15 lengths in front of the next runner. Be interesting to see where Godolphin sends her next.

Senza Parole has come up with a physical issue that will not only knock her out of the Frizette, but also out of consideration for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies next month at Del Mar, trainer Chad Brown said Thursday.
“She’s done for the year,” Brown said. “We’ll bring her back in the spring. The timing’s bad. Since we can’t make the Breeders’ Cup, we’ll point her to her 3-year-old year.”

Fierceness' full brother Mentee became a grade 3 winner on the turf with a win in the Futurity. Worth noting he was only 4/5ths off the stakes record for his first time on turf. Horse has got serious speed.

Pletcher just said he wants to stretch mentee out. May send him to the juvenile turf instead of the juvenile turf sprintEssential Quality wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 3:16 pm Fierceness' full brother Mentee became a grade 3 winner on the turf with a win in the Futurity. He definitely has the pedigree to get the mile distance, and further clearly- be fun If he became a turf champion where fierceness is all dirt. Know the last time two full brothers went to the breeders cup with each a legitimate shot to win each race?

Scottish Lassie (McKinzie) ran away with the G1 Frizette over Snowyte. She was a maiden still.
Her first race, she ran 3rd, behind Quickick (McKinzie) and Snowyte (Good Magic) at Saratoga
