I like Satono Reve (3.1), Mama Cocha (7.0) and Obamburumai (16.3).
Good luck!

Yeah!
That was amazing.
Lugal(JPN) was a 28/1 longshot today off his 6 months layoff.
He had been the beaten favorite in the G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen last time out in which he had a bone broken.
Kudos to his trainer Haruki Sugiyama who brought him back to his top form.
Both Lugal and his jockey Atsuya Nishimira grabbed first G1 success, respectively.
That's wonderful victory for his deceased sire Duramente(JPN)(King Kamehameha), too, as he will be a stallion when he retires from racing.

Lugal(JPN), 2020C. Duramente(JPN) x Atab(IRE) by New Approach(IRE), scored his first G1 victory in the Sprinters Stakes 1200m turf at Nakayama under Atsuya Nishimura on Sep 29th 2024.

Pedigreewise, it may be a bit surprising that Duramente sired his first sprint G1 winner.
But one may realize that Lugal is inbred 4 x 4 to the great Miesque(USA) through Kingmambo(USA) and his own 4th dam!! 8-)

Okay, love that. Miesque was spectacular both on the track and as a producer.

Lugal's dam Atab(IRE) was purchased only for €35,000 by Mishima Bokujo at Goff's Breeding Stock Sale in 2018!! :o 8-)

It's a very good field, but I would be remiss to jump ship from my boy Forever Young.

He's clearly the best Japanese dirt runner right now.

I really hope he wins the BC Classic! Should have won the derby ;)

My favorite three-year-old in training. :) They better have their running shoes on at Del Mar.
