It's such a fool errand expecting people to have viable opinions right now. I also would love to see the names of these "experts" but even knowledgeable people wouldn't be in a particularly fair spot.

and this on a somewhat related note......November 22 is just around the corner when you'll be able to wager on the 2025 Kentucky Derby!

Everybody does it, either with real money or the internet kind.

Kind of insane that Sierra Leone isn't in the top 10. He's a pretty big player.

Maybe it's good that people have run from his bandwagon. That usually spells victory.

I was going to say that it’s crazy to ask someone to pick a BC winner months in advance before even seeing the field, but then I remembered that Cogburn exists.

Breeders’ Cup Classic candidate Forever Young, who has not raced since he finished a close third in the Kentucky Derby, reportedly developed a high temperature during a workout Wednesday morning in Japan. That did not keep his trainer from saying the 3-year-old colt will ready for a final prep race next week.

Yoshito Yahagi told Umatoku, a Japan racing website, that the colt’s getting warm could be excused with the 90-degree weather that greeted workers at the Ritto training center just outside Osaka.

“We’ll do a short workout Sunday, but we’ll do a stronger one with the intention of it being his final workout,” Yahagi said. “He had a fever in the middle of (Wednesday’s work), which delayed him, but that can’t be helped with this heat. He’s finally coming along, and I think he’s in good shape.”

Forever Young, a Real Steel colt owned by Susumu Fujita, worked in company with 4-year-old Libyan Glass. His jockey Ryusei Sakai kept a tight rein, according to Umatoku, and was clocked at 1:21.4 for the six-furlong work on wood chips, going the last eighth of a mile in 11.5 seconds.

I’m gonna laugh my ass off if SL wins the BCC instead of City of Troy.

2YO fillies hoping for a win and you're in victory in New York's Miss Grillo stakes today probably not too happy with the one week cancellation/delay today.

Thanks for that news.

That's a lot of press, photographers, and money coming into California!
Enjoy.

Call me greedy but I would love for Shin Emperor to win the Arc, then a couple Japanese horses to win at the BC.
