Charge It has apparently been retired to Gainesway.
I'm happy he got a stud deal because he was a talented colt, when they actually put him on the lead, he is a prime example of a one paced horse who needs the lead because when he got it he was spectacular, but when he didn't, well

Edit; deleted, but supposedly Rich Strike is going to McMahon in New York for the 2025 season. "Limited breeding rights available" was advertised.

It seems like Rick Dawson seems to have finally come to his senses the horse isn't a Kentucky caliber stud. He will get a better chance in a regional market such as NY.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 10:35 am Edit; deleted, but supposedly Rich Strike is going to McMahon in New York for the 2025 season. Probably only trying to stand based on a lucky win in the Derby.Akitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 1:23 pmstelladaniella wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 10:35 am Edit; deleted, but supposedly Rich Strike is going to McMahon in New York for the 2025 season. If someone posted the announcement before Dawson got to, I bet there is no more deal now.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 10:35 am Edit; deleted, but supposedly Rich Strike is going to McMahon in New York for the 2025 season. "Limited breeding rights available" was advertised.

He’s an interesting guy. Interesting to see what’s next for this poor horse.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 2:00 pmIf someone posted the announcement before Dawson got to, I bet there is no more deal now.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 10:35 am Edit; deleted, but supposedly Rich Strike is going to McMahon in New York for the 2025 season. If he was owned by anyone else he probably would've either been gelded or overseas somewhere by now.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 2:04 pmHe’s an interesting guy. You got Calumet to thank for that. It wasn't an isolated incident either. They've done it at least one other time, sending Our Deb On Air(by Smart Strike) to Keen Ice. They sold her in foal and she went to the Philippines, where they named the foal Brother Son.Akitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 1:23 pm This post on fb was taken down idk why it was. Calumet should take him back then add him to their roster of stallion who either barely cover or don't cover at all

What is that big lump on the outside of his front left knee? And his left rear hock is awfully lumpy too.

Honestly that'd probably be the safest place for him. They don't really sell their stallions so he'd be pretty safe, and he wouldn't breed more than maybe 10 mares per year. I'd wager that in a full lifetime at Calumet he'd cover fewer mares than he would in one season at $camthrift.Akitaperson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 3:21 pmFlanders wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 3:10 pmYou got Calumet to thank for that. surely they don't sell them as often as most farms do, but when they sell it's through auction which to me is "worse" than through private sales.Calypso wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 6:06 amHonestly that'd probably be the safest place for him.
