Chad has said he doesn’t seem to like the deep sandy track at SAR so perhaps Del Mar’s firmer surface would be more to his liking.Curtis wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 12:12 pmI get why they took a shot with Sierra Leone in the Travers but with the BC at Del Mar, the Pacific Classic would have been an ideal spot for him in many ways. If Baffert had a 3yo that was upright and didn’t need a race he would have put one in. Not a 3yo but something must have went sideways with Express Train. Even in his diminished state he’d have been tough in there.

I don’t remember reading that. I would think Del Mar would play that up if so.

That's a thought that's been at the back of my mind for a while now, and I'm not thrilled about it. I'm not a fan of Larry Collmus, and we all know that's where the Del Mar booth is headed when Trevor leaves. Larry's just been laying in wait for it (which he's done before).
Nothing against Collmus personally. All the talk I've ever heard about him is what a great guy he is and how is is liked by everybody. I just don't happen to care for him at the microphone, and that's pretty inevitable where Del Mar is concerned

I used to get the odd PM from him occasionally. Well odd is a given I guess. He had this obsession with the actress that played the older sister on Modern Family. I told him he better tone it down. Only a handful of people in the grand scheme of things know who Denman is, she on the other hand………..

I agree. Matt Dinerman is from San Diego. He’d be my choice.Missbeholder wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 1:11 pm That's a thought that's been at the back of my mind for a while now, and I'm not thrilled about it.
