I wonder if there were any joint injections in that ankle in the last few weeks for The Big Torpedo.

Javier Castellano appeared to escape any serious injury as the result of the spill Friday at Saratoga.
His right wrist is sore, but all tests/X-rays came back negative.
Wants to see how he feels in the morning before deciding whether to ride Saturday, per agent PJ Campo.

I may have missed any official announcement from the Fox crew, but I've noticed that Castellano has been replaced on several mounts so far at Saratoga. :?

Javier Castellano, who suffered an injury to his right wrist in a spill Friday, is off his rides Saturday at Saratoga.

The Hall of Fame jockey had been booked for 12 entries in 11 races, one of them being an alternative to a primary choice. He was replaced on nine horses. The other three were scratched.

Soho was eased in the Torrey Pines. Does anyone know if she's okay? I was a huge fan of her dam, Keri Belle.

All I can say is she finished the race, even though she was well over 100 lengths behind. She walked off and is not on the vet's list.

Bad spill in the 3rd at Los Al, a 300-yard MSW for 2yo QHs, as Tarzan in the Wagon went down hard about halfway down the stretch.. Jockey is up, but the horse was still down. I fear the worst. :(

Confirmed as deceased. As was Midnight Huckabee, who went down in another of the trials.

Thanks for the sad updates. It was late, or I would have added Midnight Huckabee here after his breakdown. Bad night at Los Alamitos. :(

Secret Money (Good Samaritan) was pulled up just after passing the wire when she won the Floral Park Stakes at Belmont@Aqueduct, a 6-furlong turf stakes for F&M 3yo+up.
But we will get no update from "Day At the Races," because Fox ended its racing coverage before the analysts ever got any news.

This is the latest:

Per NYRA Veterinarian Department Director, Secret Money sustained an injury to her left foreleg in the gallop out of the @TheNYRA #BAQ 7th.
She will be transported via equine ambulance directly to Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists for assessment for surgery.

David Grening from DRF had tweeted earlier:
Secret Money, who was down on the turf, has now gotten up. She has a boot on her left fore and has been led into the equine ambulance.
