He is standing in the infield when they go by at 4:34, if you pause it you can see him back there, bright orange silks.
Whew. Thanks.

Jimmy P. a Keri Brion trained entry who ran 2nd in this race last year, won by about 20 lengths!

I'd say he is the real deal given his 2nd and now 1st. It was truly a sight to see, he separated himself out in the final going like he was shot out of a cannon.

Anyway, a really fun race to watch if you can catch a replay.

Fun race, indeed. Winning margin was better than 34 lengths.

Can't believe that no one posted about QH racing getting only their 2nd Triple Crown winner in 43 years over the weekend.

Hezgothelook Z (Favorite Cartel - Shezgotthelook, by FDD Dynasty)

In addition to being a grandson of Favorite Trick via his sire, he has the thoroughbred stallion Beduino as an ancestor on his dam side.

Hezgothelook Z’s sire is actually Favorite Cartel. Interesting that this TC was contested at The Downs at Albuquerque. I’m sure it had little to do with the result, but just an aside.

Oh silly me haha. I knew it was Favorite Cartel but was thinking more about Favorite Trick for obvious reasons.

Southwind Amazon who got his 135th win on August 28th at the Canton Fair while I wasn't paying attention (silly me), wasted little time in getting win #136 at his home track Northfield tonight. He's one win away from Niffit's USTA record!

Elsewhere in Ohio, the Little Brown Jug is tomorrow! The OHHA has been live streaming all week on Facebook and Youtube and the Jug will also be broadcast on FS2 tomorrow afternoon. The eliminations are at 5 and 5:30pm eastern and the final will be at roughly 6:43 (probably closer to 7). First post for the full card of 21 races is 11:00am.

American Pharoah is the first racehorse I've heard. I was not interested in horse racing, but since I heard about it, I took a look on this racing video, shocked me actually, I remember that time I was not a veteran. Now, I finally find this forum as a identity of veteran, that's a long way.

Captain Albano won the final (and the first elimination) of the Little Brown Jug! He was Dan Patch champion 2yo last year, had a few rought starts but is now 6 for his last 7 and has rounded into form nicely for the big fall races. From what I hear he's a very sweet and well-mannered gentleman too, a typical Standardbred. :D

The NSA has revoked its sanction for running the International Gold Cup at the Great Meadow course next month, citing the course for being "in disrepair and unsafe". Fortunately the Virginia Gold Cup Association which runs the race meet has secured Glenwood Park in Middleburg as a replacement venue.
