5k and that might be too high.
Yeah that seems reasonable, but like you said maybe too high considering his record.

In my opinion, his biggest obstacle to finding a stud deal is his owner. Someone would have stood him for 2024 but the owner wanted more than he is worth. A year on and with just more negatively surrounding him, all caused by the owner, will anyone even want to attempt to make a deal?

Yeah the owner/old trainer drama... I just hope he retires and enjoys his life whether or not a stud.

I know I'm old-fashioned, but IMHO, a "perfect racehorse" should be able to hold his form and run more than six races.

Whole heartedly agree. If I was breeding and had zero budget then I'd sooner go to a horse like Hopportunity over ones like Justify, Flightline, Corniche, Loggins etc. Give me a horse that stayed sound and ran passed the age of 3 or passed 6 races.

Protecting the race record and stud value. What is really going on-is he injured?

With that action of his, he was never going to last too long. Sounds like he was going to be done after the BC no matter what. It would have been the Pat O’Brien, the race formerly known as the Goodwood and then the BC Classic and that is only if everything went perfectly. For once Bob’s probably being sincere.

Mel's Baby Sister, retired to a hunter/jumper career. Owner didn't want to race her in claimers.

Dreamy Day (Le Havre - Danedream) has been retired due to "recurring colic." She won her only start.

Hopefully she can pull through. That does not sound good at all.

Recent retirees at Second Stride.

Mr. Ritz (Oasis Dream - Que Puntal), a 2xG3W, who seems to have officially retired before 2024.

Bullion (Ghostzapper - Gold Vault), a 6x winner from 47 starts who is a 1/2 brother to MG1W Contested, MSW sire Mosler, and G2P Air Vice Marshal. His dam Gold Vault is 1/2 to MG1W sire Pomeroy.

Me and Mr. C (Khozan - Abiding), a 5xSW who raced from age 2 to 7. He is from the extended family of Dynaformer.
