Medalla Match broke down in the Andy Guest S. at Colonial. Cherie Devaux tweeted that she was euthanized, as none of the possible options to save her looked promising.

Yes in partnership with Stretch Run Ventures, whoever that is. They seem to own at least a handful of mares together.

American Cleopatra had a colt by Maclean's Music on February 4.

It is reasonable to assume she died of foaling complications but it could also be unrelated to that.

This is tragic news. She was truly great.
Michael Wrona paid tribute to the undefeated mare by relaying, 'the legend is that she was never touched with the crop.'
I don't know if that is true, but all her races I watched showed me a horse with a fierce will to win.

Black Caviar was truly the best sprinter and will never be forgotten. :cry:
Her victory in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot was so dramatic.
May she rest in peace.
