It is so nice not having to listen to Toad's yelling and endure all his verbal tics.
It would be amazing if Fandrool parted company with that blustering, I-love-to-insult-my-co-hosts, cigar-addicted (I mean...WHO glamorizes toxic...and illegal most places...cigar smoking anymore!?), but I suspect he's just on vacation.

Todd doesn't talk cigars nearly as much as Mike Joyce, and if they only smoke them where it's legal, who cares?

You've apparently never been stuck downwind from putrid cigar smoke. The smoke doesn't exactly stream straight up into the sky; it spreads out on the breeze and poisons everyone within breathing distance.
I don't care if cigar smoking is legal at racetracks (WHY!?), it is still a foul and addictive practice. And for all you racing fans who wish more people would go to racetracks and spend their money there to help keep tracks open...what do you think is the reaction of any parent caught downwind from Toad, Mike and other stogie smokers? Do you think they ever want to take their children back there?

I didn’t know Todd got divorced but to be truthful, I never knew he was married. Since we started streaming all our content a few months back, I haven’t watched TVG at Fanduel. I always likened those guys to the group doing the “Da Bears” bit on SNL, so blowing smoke is appropriate.

Well, a couple of interweb guesses that Todd Shrupp might be in jail or inpatient GA turn out to be false.

Within the past couple of weeks he's posted to X from Saratoga where he's been attending some charity galas and he was the auctioneer at some WestPoint golf tournament along with Donna Brothers

My FanDrool channel has been frozen for about the last 20 minutes on some ad graphic for cheap generic drugs. Anyone else seeing this?

I've always thought that having a former jockey as part of any on-air racing program would provide an informative and interesting viewpoint. Richie Migliore and Rajiv Maragh are very helpful and entertaining as part of NYRA's on-air crew. Guess we'll see how well CNak does with the FanDroolers.

I always felt that it was kind of a shame that Chris McCarron was never interested in pursuing a post-racing career in broadcasting. He did a few on-desk engagements both late in his riding career (injury) and after he retired in June of 2002. I thought he was terrific every time behind the mic, and as coverage has expanded since then, it would sure be nice to have him.

By the way, in looking him up, I discovered that he'll be 70 years old next March. Goodness, how time flies!

I remember when he first came to CA to ride in that old All Star Jockey Race at Hollywood Park back in the ‘70’s. Those races got he, Eddie Delahoussaye, Darrel McHargue, Sandy Hawley, etc. to move their tack west.

I thought that maybe he was off decamping from Los Angeles to Louisville. Since FanDrool is now covering Churchill, I figured we would see him trackside there. But FanDrool just showed the line-up for tomorrow's opening night...and Todd was missing.
