She's well named -- that certainly is a dreamy pedigree!

I tried to look her up on Equibase and Tapestry doesn’t have a filly named Dreamy?

There’s a 2YO Brethren x Weekend Mischief filly named Dreamy, but she’s had a couple starts already and isn’t a winner.

There are sometimes horses out of America do not show up on Equibase.

“The seven and a half-furlong fillies’ maiden at Tipperary on Friday (5.50) has attracted several well bred two-year-olds, and the most interesting newcomer among them is Ballydoyle raider Mint Candy.

“She is by Dubawi and is the first foal out of Rushing Fall, a Grade 1 winner on the turf in every season from the ages of two to five and the earner of more than £2.2 million in prize-money.

‘The dam, a More Than Ready half-sister to Calder Grade 3 scorer Milam, was bought by Coolmore for $5.5m at Fasig-Tipton in November 2020.”

The less cute/fun the filly name and the less historic/grandiose the colt name, the slower the Coolmore horse.

I was a big fan of the world-traveler Magic Wand, so I was pleased to see her first offspring is showing talent. And I'm glad it was the result of her Japanese mating. I'd be even happier if the sire was Sunday Silence-line, but Lord Kanaloa has the goods :D

Also hoping that Mint Candy has a TDN Rising Star breakthrough in her next outing. I was a big fan of Rushing Fall, as well!

2f Lake Victoria won the Sweet Solera S (G3) at Newmarket today. She’s by Frankel out of MG1W sprinter Quiet Reflection, for whom the lads paid $2.9M at Tattersalls a few years back

A decent second for a first start, especially carrying 133 lbs over a good to yielding 8f.
He won today.
