Sloppy, muddy, whatever, it's wet there today.

Scratch the 6, Il Miracolo.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Does this move anyone up? Any of the Whitney boys love mud?

First Mission is the obvious one, but I think his price will be waaay too short to bet.

Been watching on FOX. Looks like the sun's trying to get the upper hand here! The damage has already been done for the turf races, but maybe we get a break for the Whitney. Track rated GOOD, perhaps?

I hope it dries out somewhat- I hate a big race like this run on a muddy track- some horses like the mud, others don't- so you don't get a true picture of who is really the best horse- just what horse takes to the mud the best

CLASSICIST, 2yo colt in race 5, is a grandson of Storm Flag Flying and sired by Curlin. What a pedigree on this guy! I hope he is fast

The race was won by the other Pletcher, Uncaged (Curlin x Dark Nile), with Sea Vista (Street Sense x Sara Louise) 2nd and Classicist 3rd.

WOW Ferocious [Flatter x Napier by Midnight Lute] was incredible on his debut, even if he missed the break. Wow. Happy for Delgado and Javy! This colt has quite the stride too. He also cost $1.3 million at the OBS March 2yo sale.

Whew, that was some performance ….he just killed some nice colts

I love Flatter, so hopefully Ferocious will carry on his sire’s legacy

**This was a $1.3 million baby

Agreed! He was a second faster than the MSW that was right before it too.

Obviously National Treasure can win, but how can any horse be odds-on in this field? Some really wild prices in here.

Arthur's Ride was a clean white streak in front. Wonderful showing by the Tapit colt.
Love that his dam sire is Point Given. :D
