Not on the list in 2024 at all. But had intra-articular injections 3 times in 2023 (May 2nd, May 12th, August 18th) and once in 2022 (July 31st).

The new rule on corticosteroid intra-articular injections went into effect on July 1st in California. They can't receive one without a vet saying they need it and can't race for 30 days. They can't work for 10 days after receiving one.

The rule for other types of intra-articular injections remains what it was before 7 days for work and 14 days for race.

Not that I could see, but the same trainer has one entered (She's a Joker) on the 25th that had an intra-articular injection 14 days out from that date. *sigh*

Let It Ride (Candy Ride) just went down hard in the stretch of the 85th at Saratoga.
Just got news that Eric walked into the ambulance and the colt got up and walked onto the horse ambulance. Appeared to be a case of clipped heels.

She really was.

I would like to know why she didn’t have any recorded works since February. Did she train at a facility without any clockers?

Strong Tide, 2017 horse (English Channel - Dreamin Big, by Pure Prize) was pulled up in the Bucchero Handicap today at Horseshoe Indianapolis. He fractured his right front sesamoid and his trainer said he "should survive".

Yeah and I was just thinking yesterday that I hoped he would get to retire to stud somewhere.

In the Saranac Stakes at Saratoga, front-running The Big Torpedo went down in the stretch, taking another horse down with him. Still waiting for any updates on horses and riders.

ETA: Both Cancel and Castellano are up and making their way to first aid, but no updates yet on The Big Torpedo and Take Me To Church (IRE). :(

The Big Torpedo suffered catastrophic injury to foreleg and had to be put down on the course. Take me to Church got up after fall and caught by outrider. Jockey Castellano going to Albany Med for check up. jockey Cancel getting check at track.
