Ruling Court (Justify x Inchargeofme), a €2,300,000 purchase by Godolphin earlier this year at Arqana, just aired on debut at Sandown.

Quite the pinhook: he sold for $150K at KEESEP last year.

Field for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth S (G1) on Saturday:

Auguste Rodin
Dubai Honour
Goliath
Hans Andersen
Luxembourg
Middle Earth
Rebel's Romance
Bluestocking
Sunway

I am pulling for the globetrotting Rebel's Romance, who has won graded stakes (2 G1s) in three different countries this year.

That looks like an excellent field. Is there any forecast for how the ground will be?

The going is currently good, good to firm in places. There is a 30% chance of rain on Saturday morning/afternoon.

Somebody ask AOB if the ground was so soft, how did Goliath manage a time that was 2.27 seconds faster than standard?

French raider Goliath was a very impressive winner.
He was clearly the best horse going 12F at Ascot today.
It's a shame that a gelding can't go for the ARC at Longchamp.

Auguste Rodin doing his best to ensure Coolmore never again keeps a top three year old in training at four.

I just saw a video of (allegedly) Goliath on FB stating that he has stringhalt, which causes him to involuntarily stomp with his hind legs. I'm too lazy to look it up but would be interested in learning more!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Also, the whole "he can only act on firm ground" angle kind of falls apart when you consider he didn't lift a hoof in Dubai, which has maybe only ever been rated "good" once in history.
