Bit more in this one, with all the standard BS about how with his pedigree he'd never run at 4 blah blah blah
Someday the greedy stallion farms and owners will have figured out they've killed horse racing, but even then doubt they'd care as they've lined their pockets over and over again

I was honestly shocked by this. I figured spendthrift was scooping someone up next year. But I wasn't thinking Dornoch. I can think of so many people who were convinced spendthrift would have seize the Grey in their stallion barns for 2025. I was hoping Grey would go somewhere else but wouldn't have been shocked if spendthrift got him. I was extremely happy gainesway won the bidding war for Seize the grey. I was shocked dornoch is going to spendthrift. I figured maybe hill n dale at xalapa. Or lanes end. I was under the impression xalapa doesn't have a good magic son yet. But apparently the spendthrift deal has been in place since the Belmont

Ehhh, it was a nice story, but a statue? Think how much that money could help TB aftercare. That’s a better legacy.
Personally I see no problem with Godolphin helping to fund a statue for Cody's Wish. They already do a ton of work supporting aftercare. Godolphin has a global "lifetime care" program in place in Japan, Australia, Europe and america.America. Godolphin routinely sponsors olympian eventer Boyd Martin to put on clinics for ottbs in japan.

This article is wrong: “If Dornoch enters stud next year, he could be the first sire-son by prominent third-crop sire Good Magic, who ranks second to Ashford Stud's Justify by progeny earnings but leads his sire class by number of grade 1 winners with two this year, as of July 22. Besides Dornoch, Good Magic is the sire of Arkansas Derby (G1) winner Muth.”

Hello Mage?!?
they changed it to "If Dornoch enters stud next year, he'll join Airdrie Stud's Mage as the first sire-sons by prominent third-crop sire Good Magic, who ranks second to Ashford Stud's Justify by progeny earnings but leads his sire class by number of grade 1 winners with two this year, as of July 22. Besides Dornoch, Good Magic is the sire of Arkansas Derby (G1) winner Muth ."

I figured they would change it (that’s why I copied it), because that’s a big oops. Who is writing for them these days?!?

They've been doing this for awhile. I remember when Mongolian Grooms incident happened they couldn't even be bothered to spell his name correctly

Handsome little paint. Not enough 'feather' to be a Gypsy Cob/Horse/Vanner. Maybe a Welsh cross?

A Leopard Appaloosa? He has excellent markings, so I wonder if he has gotten to breed a few Appy mares himself?

They wanted to add something to CA bloodstock community, and this is who they came up with… interesting.

I mean, there is no shortage of turf sprints these days… is there? It’s not the craziest choice
