Is Peacock not going to cover the CCAO? Looks like they're done for the day :(

I saw one of the owners mention on the Fox feed Dornoch's breeding rights have already been sold and they only have a few races left with him.
Did I miss that farm announcement?

I don't believe its been announced. Though I did see a rumor on X a bit ago(but in the past month or so) that Spendthrift was inspecting him that day...

I did a quick search in case I'd missed that announcement. I suspect word will be out soon given the owner telling everyone on national tv. And that tells us he's done this year (surprise surprise...  )

I guess I should add that doesn't mean that Spendthrift bought him but stud farms were looking at him then.

Yep.. spendthrift

Co-owner Randy Hill said Dornoch's ownership group has reached a deal to stand him at Spendthrift Farm near Lexington upon retirement.

I'm honestly rooting for Sea Streak.
Agreed, its so weird how people have so little faith in Dornoch. He has had two bad races and 98% of the field has a bad race in the Derby so does that even really count?
Based on what I've been hearing and reading from various public handicappers, analysts, and pundits, this is Mindframe's race to lose. Most of them just don't see anybody else but him winning. The 9/5 ML on him is a pipedream, especially with Fierceness very likely coming out.

Seems that all anybody can remember seeing is Mindframe nearly running down Dornoch after ducking out badly because of the whip. The general thought is, no ducking out and Mindframe easily blows by Dornoch nearing the wire in that Belmont. The difference with the Haskell is that it's a furlong shorter, which may strangely enough benefit both horses for different reasons.
I bought into the Mindframe thing. Like all the punters were saying, I couldn't imagine Mindframe losing. The thing is, sometimes your heart gets in the way of your pocketbook. I laid a $20 bill on Dornoch to win, just because I wanted him to win so bad! Sometimes, the heart don't lie! (Thanks Reba and Vince)!

I think Dornoch's at the top now among 3yo colts. He's the only one with two GI's to his name, and one of those is a Classic. If he can secure either the Travers or the PA Derby and then run well, beating other 3yos in the BC Classic, he will be the 3yo Champion!

Was it just my imagination, or did Mindframe duck out again in the Haskell? And this time without the whip! It looked to me like he lost AGAIN because of that!

One moves right the other left. If Mindframe were to be on the inside of Sierra Leone, they’d look like magnets.

Yeah, Mindframe wandered quite a bit (in both directions) in reaction to the whip again. It's something they absolutely need to work on, and honestly he and Sierra Leone could genuinely make trouble for each other when they meet in the Travers. Also a bit surprised that there hasn't been much talk of his start; have seen plenty of mention of Thorpedo Anna's hop, but he stumbled and then got banged around a bit before losing position and rallying widest of all. It took a very good horse to beat him, and I think there'd be more talk of his trip if he was more popular. Take nothing away from Dornoch, though--he earned that win just as he did in the Belmont.

Some really nice 3yos in this crop, although it sucks to know that we won't get to enjoy them for long. Travers should be legendary. And I'll say this: Mindframe as the big favorite made sense and still makes sense, but Timberlake going off at lower odds than Dornoch was wild. How on earth did that happen? It shows way more disrespect to Dornoch than Mindframe's odds.

People are fickle.

He paid me in the Belmont for staying loyal. Ditto, today. He's the real deal.

Was firmly against the "lasix miracles" that are Mindframe (and Jasper's Pride who was supplemented I think?) I can't get on horses who are apparently bred for the Classics, like Mindframe, yet need lasix bumps, esp. in their maidens, esp. if they needed it for more than 1 race.

Nobody over the pond would take a horse "bred for the classics" and lasix them before they ever set foot on the track. Maybe we don't "get" what bred for the Classics means, or we have a very odd definition of it.

He sure took a lot of money. And the race caller must have had some $ on him since he may have been shouting " come on mindframe!!". I had 4 people write to me and ask me if I heard the call, I said no, I always leave the sound off so I had to go back and watch the replay.

I remember the first time I saw a well bred Gun Runner lasixed for their maiden. I literally shed a tear.

Anyway I did get something out of watching it, because I am now convinced that 9F is the absolute outside distance that Timberlake is capable of ......he is just not a true classic distance router. I hope they don't try to enter him in the Travers or BCC.

Mindframe needs Lasix? What?? On no planet were his first two starts better than his last two. Where on earth has that narrative emerged from?
