Update on Just Steel who is recovering well from condylar fracture surgery at a farm. Saying there could be a late Fall campaign. I wonder if would be best to perhaps turn him out for the rest of the year and try to bring him back next year? I am surprised he wasn’t retired. Also waiting for an update on Nysos and Mr. Fisk which I know will likely not come any time soon considering the secrecy of the connections.

I'm guessing because he doesn't have a signature win. If he had won the Arkansas Derby, he'd been retired. At least in my opinion.

Likewise I'm waiting on an update on Nysos. I highly doubt Mr. Fisk runs again.

So what's next for Forever Young and T.O. Password? My mom bet $2 to win on Forever Young (I knew she would, she loves that song) and Honor Marie and was of course bummed he didn't get there. Reminder: I bet $2 on T.O. Password, Endlessly, and Stronghold.

Also, I finally sat down and watched the NBC replay of the race for the first time. I was on the far turn so I saw them leave the starting gate and run the far turn, but the roar was so loud I couldn't hear Larry Collmus. I only knew Mystik Dan got up because people starting chanting "THREE!" I didn't look at the order of finish until now either. I'm so proud for T.O. Password to get fifth! I know I was the only one screaming for his stablemate in the Alysheba on Oaks day, haha.

I see Endlessly is pointing towards the Belmont Derby. I hope he does well.

I just saw that T O Password had to have surgery on BOTH front legs because of fractures. He'll be off for at least the rest of the year, then they might try to bring him back.

Edit: as was noted in the other thread, it was actually bone chips that were removed in both legs. But there is no Japanese word for that so the translation was bad.

Trikari (Oscar Performance) wins the G1 Belmont Derby by a nose over White Palomino (Kitten's Joy). Favorite Legend of Time (Sea the Stars) was third.
Pretty cool to see the grandson and son of our own wonderful Kitten's Joy show their heels to the Euro invader.
