I remember reading he was being spelled after the....I *think* it was the ATC Sire's Produce Stakes. It was the race he finished 4th.
The top horses seem to be targeted at the back to back to back G1s of the Spring and Autumn Carnivals, so I would guess we would see him back in action in September. Maybe the Golden Rose?

Daredevil gets his first winner from his return crop in U Devil You. He took a MSW at Churchill Downs by two lengths, and looked good doing it!

He’s got another two year-old, El Dandi, set to run on the 26th, again at CD.

James Glenn a new trainer to TB racing ( is a successful QH trainer) wins a 2yo maiden race at Los Al with Mischief River beating Bob’s horse Privman . Says he does not know Bob but admires him and his team, but is not afraid of him. Wants to stay in QH’s but train about 5 TBs too. He is off to a good start! https://x.com/thetdn/status/1807162046124838984?s=46 https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/q ... at-los-al/

Does anyone understand the meaning of Whatintheliteral’s name? I have always struggled with double meanings and wordplay and am not well versed in urban slang so hoping someone here with that knowledge can help here? I know Jena has said it’s what she thinks the horse is saying to them as she gives everyone the stinkeye but I still don’t know what it means. Thanks…

All I know is literally, literally doesn’t mean literally anymore. If only that weren’t too many characters.

I think to complete that phrase, it is: What In the Literal Hell...?
As in, what the hell is going on?

A few years ago when I was teaching community college a student was talking about something of Earth shattering importance, I’m sure and incorrectly used the adjective “literally”. So I said you actually mean that “figuratively”. She wrinkled her nose and replied, “No I literally meant that literally!” and muttered something akin to “Grandpa” as her voice trailed off. When I taught HS, I worked painfully hard to get my students to pass the par tests so they could earn a diploma. If only I had a lawn handy to yell at that young woman to vacate.

I would imagine it is 80% of the phrase "what in the literal f**k"

One I find myself using on an increasingly daily basis.

Border Run used to occasionally give me a look that translated roughly to, "Do you know who my father is?!" Maybe it's like that.

Jena Antonucci said that when she's in her stall she gives epic side eye, like she's saying "what in the literal eff?!". It was in the post race interview of her last race.

Thanks I remember her interview. I guess I never heard that expression before with the literal in it.

Schuylerville was rough. Complexion kept freaking out in the gate, delayed the start for awhile, banged up Johnny V in the gate too, she ran poorly. Mirahmadi somehow missed/ignored that Whatintheliteral stumbled BADLY coming out of the gate, her head was in the dirt and Castellano got thrown. Slang was pulled up, I didn't notice a visible injury but something was wrong.

The Queens M G wins at 44-1, giving Thousand Words his 2nd SW.

I believe Slang was pulled up on the gallop out, and was getting a ride back to her stable. I did see Whatintheliteral running near the outer rail on the last turn, and heard that she was caught by an outrider.
I hope everyone is OK after all that. :?
