CANDY MAN ROCKET;
https://www.equibase.com/static/chart/p ... 24USA9.pdf

he was vanned off after this race, June 16 2024, 9th race at churchill after winning nicely. not a single mention anywhere that i could find other than this chart, so i'm guessing heat? no workouts since, tho it's only been a week.

So I can't find anything. I went and watched the replay(on Twinspires) and after the race when he was jogging back to the winner's circle, he is head bobbing, looked off, and Jose Ortiz stopped him and jumped off, then they cut away to the other horses being unsaddled. Like he didn't have anything visibly wrong but he was showing the signs of lameness when the jockey was on. He is on the KHRC vet list but they don't list reasons. He has had soundness issues his entire career though. Missed slightly more than half of 21, almost all of 22, about half of 23.

I mean I didn't try *that* hard to look but there was absolutely nothing related to his injury or prognosis on X or HRN, someone did ask but there were no replies. I hate Facebook so much, not that X isn't trash too but its easier to search on there. FB is just awful, I didn't have that in me. :)

Did something happen in the 7th at Los Alamitos? I tuned back in to Fandrool just in time to hear the Talking Heads talking about Abel Cedillo being able to move all his limbs, but was still being taken to a hospital to be checked out.
The last race I think he rode was the 7th on Hot Danzing, because he is listed as replaced in the next race (on DRF). Any news concerning the horse? :?

ETA: Nevermind. I just read that horrible update in the In Memoriam thread. :(

The #10 in race 6 at Monmouth today (7/7). He balked on the track approaching the gate (the rider got off) and then they had to muscle him into the gate. I didn't see him go down, but he clearly broke down later in the race. Ugh.

Twitter is reporting as euthanized. Kaz Mega Bank was by Bank Heist and o/o Megahertz.

Triple Espresso was pulled up and taken off track by ambulance at Delaware yesterday. Anything on him?

According to what I saw on Twitter, he was pulled up as a precaution. I didn’t see anything else after that.

Just checked the stewards reports and it just says pulled up and vanned off - they normally are more specific if the horse was injured or euthanised, so that’s a good sign!

big fan of that mighty little mare. she had another offspring break down many years ago. i hope she's pensioned by now, not being bred to "who?" studs.

In the 5th at Saratoga, a 1 1/16-mile Allowance on the turf for 3yo+up, the grey Suerte (Frosted) veered so wide on the last turn that he disappeared from the camera. He may have been pulled up along the outside rail, but I never saw him pass the wire. Any news?

I think I saw him pass the wire alongside (or back of) his fellow gray in the race.

Fausto went down in the stretch of the 11th at Del Mar. Very sudden, bad-looking fall...although the horse did get up and pass the wire. Rider may still be down.

He clipped heels with the 3 I think. It was not a breakdown so hopefully both horse and rider will be okay. It was a rough fall though.
