Sweet. Cutest thing was near the end when the groom was trying to get the little grey cat to chase the end of her lead rope. <3

I have a question about Beholder that kind of embarrasses me. She's my namesake, for Pete's sake, because I loved her so much, but somehow I've lost track of her foaling record for the last couple of years and I have no excuse for it!
Her last officially named foal was Tamara, foaled in 2021, and whose racing future is somewhat in doubt now. She had a Curlin colt in 2022 that sold in the Saratoga Select Sale in 2023 for $4M. I know she was bred to Jackie's Warrior in 2023 for a foal this year, but I frankly don't remember hearing or reading confirmation that she did in fact have that foal this year.
And I'm completely drawing a blank on whether she had a foal in 2023, was bred at all in 2022, or if she slipped or was barren or what for 2023. All I need is what happened with her breeding/foaling record in 2022/23, and confirmation that her Jackie's Warrior foal was born safely in 2024.
And I'd like this information accompanied by as little eye-rolling as possible! I should know this stuff almost automatically, but guess what? I don't! Thanks for the help!

It looks like the Curlin colt is already with Baffert, even though no name has yet been submitted for him.

Just for follow-up.......did they just decide not to breed her in 2022, or did something else happen that caused her not to have a foal in 2023? Much appreciated!

I don't think she got in foal, she was bred to Gun Runner in 2022. I feel like it was announced pretty early that she wasn't in foal.Missbeholder wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 12:04 pmThanks mariasmon. Thanks Flanders. I don't know how I became so out of touch with Beholder over the last couple of years, but when you get older like me, stuff just happens! Thank you again!

Looking at the thread about Mares Bred, it appears that EVERYBODY was bred to Gun Runner this year.

I sent an email last week to Racehorse Reimagined to check on a pensioned broodmare in their care named The Yellow Sheet. Back in the day, she was in my trainer's barn, won a stakes race at Hollywood Park, and was a spicy chestnut mare. I got a response back that she is doing well, and that they will send me updated photos of her. She is 24-years-old, a CA-bred daughter of Benchmark (Alydar) out of a Moscow Ballet mare. I know this might not mean much to others, but it does for me knowing she is alive and in a safe place. I wish more horses can be just as lucky.
I wanna do bad things with you.

I saw this mare for sale for $5K on Equine Now. I don't know what it is but there's just something I like about her...maybe it's her coloration, maybe it's her name.
