Vekoma is off to a pretty good start at stud! Louisiana Jess (debut winner at Churchill Downs) is his fifth winner from I believe five starters.

Say what you will about his movement, he could run! And seems like they are precocious. I hope he does well.

Colloquial was second to Mentee on his debut but he ran almost the same figure, one to watch moving forward for sure.

That's exciting; love that he is getting runners on both dirt and turf.

I also agree with others that Vekoma is off to a hot start.

Omg adorable. It reminds me of when I was a kid, we shipped our horses from Toronto to Ocala to show for the winter. The horses had a layover at Adena Springs Ocala for a few days before we went to the horseshow. My 14 hand Pinto pony was turned out in a paddock next to some broodmares, and they were obsessed with him. Like, to the extent that the broodmare manager asked if we would consider selling him as a teaser. We politely declined, but it was nice to know he had a backup career option if being a show pony didnt work out.

my mare has a thing for geldings. but she doesn't care about stallions, like at all. she's turned out next to this old gelding who is now terrified of her, a few weeks ago she was in full blown heat and kept chasing him around the fence to pee at him. poor guy was panicking. then one of the stallions tried talking smack to her and she didn't even look.

she's 17.2hh, the gelding is like 15.2hh/16hh at most.

Justify and American Pharoah at Ashford. Justify still looks like he's having issues with those front hooves (or at least the one)

What a handsome boy. I hope he gets a few mares of his own at the end of the season.

Not a hoof expert, but does it seem Justify doesn’t want to put too much weight on his front feet? I am always looking at horse hooves trying to learn. Also would you say American Pharoah is long in the toe?
