Here is an interview with Aidan O'Brien where he does say Auguste Rodin could run in the Classic but it sounded like if City of Troy is in there, it isn't happening. He said so far this year, City of Troy has had priority over all other horses for races and that he imagines City of Troy will always get preference. The Prince of Wales S. was Auguste Rodin's goal and that he'll sit down with The Lads and decide the rest of the season for AR.

Great race. Both horses were very determined.

Really happy for Kyprios' win, especially since he is an entire winning THE stayer's classic in a field full of geldings. O'Brien is a master at keeping his colts and stallions happy, focused and competitive, with perhaps the finest example being the great Yeats.

Lovely win by Fairy Godmother (love the name)- who was bottled up with nowhere to go- Ryan Moore gave her a brilliant ride and she had the turn of foot to win the race!

Wesley Ward's four Royal Ascot entries this year finished 20th, 24th, 10th, and 16th. His last winner at RA was Campanelle in 2021 (and that was by DQ).

Maybe time to try a new strategy.HB1994 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 1:45 pm Wesley Ward's four Royal Ascot entries this year finished 20th, 24th, 10th, and 16th. His last winner at RA was Campanelle in 2021 (and that was by DQ).

Haatem (Phoenix of Spain) wins the Jersey S (G3) by a long nose over Frankel's half-bro Kikkuli. Haatem finished third in the 2000 Guineas and was only beaten a head in the Irish 2000 Guineas, so good to see him get a win. He ran nine times as a 2yo.
