Event rider Georgie Campbell died today after a fall whilst competing at Bicton Horse Trials (UK).

Slammin Gold broke down and was euthanized at Belmont yesterday. This poor guy was from racing royalty, with his sire being Tapit, and his dam being Bar of Gold, who earned more than $1.5 million on the track, including winning the BC filly and mares sprint. He was only 3.

Destin's Mission, 4yo g (Destin - Secret Mission, by Mission Impazible) brokedown at Aqueduct on May 18th, "In the fifth race, horse was pulled up by jockey, after the start, subsequently vanned off. Horse's health declined while under the care of veterinarian and was later euthanized."

29 y/o Kidnap Katie (Red Ransom) has passed away at Our Mims Retirement Haven.

She was one of 43 horses found abandoned at a property by the Borells in 2016.

RIP Closeout 2005-2024. She won the G3 Pucker Up at Arlington and the G3 Locust Grove at Churchill, also the Audubon Oaks at Ellis. She was a debut winner at Fair Grounds about an hour after my Grandpa agreed to let me take over the farm which was always a funny story. Closeout has a really nice yearling filly that we are retaining to race and had an Army Mule colt about a month ago.

Old Friends announced that 31 year old Ide (by Forty Niner) is gone.
He was euthanized June 7 at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital due to colic

The mini donkey that used to be with Alphabet Soup, they moved him to be with Ide after Alphabet Soup passed away. Both stallions loved him and he loved them. The Old Friends post made me sad.

You should probably clarify that Tokyo Seelster was a Standardbred and the race was at Woodbine Mohawk, not the Woodbine TB track.
