not racehorses, but i am concerned/interested either way, hope it's ok to put this here.
the reports all said "the horses are fine and our vets are caring for them", which is abt the kind of canned statement you'd expect. one was very noticeably bloodied, they ran into traffic and vehicles were involved. i can't imagine the injuries are all superficial, but crazier things with lesser injuries have happened.
does anyone have any updates?
the horses loose in London today

My news feed has several articles about the incident. Here are a couple. My greatest concern is for the horse who ran into a taxi. The photo of a small taxi/van with the side bashed in shows how hard the impact was.

1 horse remains under observation and another is expected to recover fully
One of the military horses that broke away from their trainers and galloped through the streets of London last week is expected to make a full recovery while another remains under observation, the British Army said Monday.
Quaker, a black horse, has shown “significant improvement’’ on the way to what is expected to be a complete recovery, the army said on X, formerly known as Twitter. Vida, a gray, remains under “close and careful’’ veterinary observation for his injuries.....

The five military horses that bolted and injured themselves as they ran loose through central London in April are all expected to return to duty, the British Army said Tuesday, with three of them already back to work.....
The two most severely injured horses, Vida and Quaker, are recovering well in the countryside after undergoing operations and are set to return to work soon.... three other horses, named Trojan, Tennyson, and Vanquish, have returned to duty and will likely be able to take part in King Charles III’s birthday parade on June 15.

I tried to post the June update to this thread yesterday, but kept getting an error about being outside the date range. Couldn't find any setting adjustment that would allow me to update in this thread yesterday, even though I was able to see the thread.
Since then, the thread was updated in June by someone else. Now I am able post in the "london horses" thread without getting the error.
I guess there is a setting somewhere they won't let me post to a thread that hasn't been updated recently. Anyone have input on how to fix this issue?

I would guess it was just a random error. I've never had a problem and I just posted in a thread that hadn't been posted in since August.MTO wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 10:42 am I tried to post the June update to this thread yesterday, but kept getting an error about being outside the date range.
