The Chosen Vron is such a pro. To heck with limiting books; I wish the Jockey Club could mandate that half the male foals by the top 25 stallions had to be gelded--the older horse division would become relevant again. Just imagine if half the Triple Crown winners were still around at 4 or even 5!

Also create a rule that disallows any North American horse that goes to Saudi or Dubai from entering a BC race. Until those horses are kept here, the older horse division will continue to suffer.

Sorry, Curtis, but IMHO that is a terrible idea. Telling every North American owner/trainer that they can't take their really good horses overseas to run for that much money won't fly. "Like a lead balloon" I believe is the phrase. Also, running our own horses...successfully...in foreign classic/middle distance races proves that American horses are still decent quality...and not just taller Quarterhorses.
If the BC tried to tell the owner of a horse who won the Dubai World Cup that he was not ALLOWED to run in the BC Classic, it would likely lead to so many lawsuits that Baffert et al would look like courtroom dilettantes.

Nick Luck interviewed Vincent Ho today on his podcast. Ho said that Golden Sixty is being kept in light training and that his future racing career is undecided. He also said that once Golden Sixty does retire, it will be to Northern Horse Park in Hokkaido. A new facility is being built there for Golden Sixty, but it isnt ready yet, another reason why Golden Sixty is still hanging out in Hong Kong.
