Isn't Mark Hennig also a yellow Lab guy?

They tried it before, it wasn’t working. Given the strength of the field, I think the placement was appropriate. He’s probably better off as a maiden for awhile.

two races in a row Frankie misses the break from the rail, hmmm!
Good thing Imagination breaks on the outside then
Race 6
another horse from the 1 slot misses the break, wassup?
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I saw that... the #1 slot seems cursed

Can someone explain why Uncle Heavy is 7-1...? I like him, he's neat, but he most certainly does not have a better chance in this race than Just Steel.

It's a weird race because it feels like there isn't much value, but then you've got some weird horses taking truckloads of money... and Mystik Dan at 3-1 actually feels like it could be value? He's the fastest horse in the race by a decent margin and should get a pretty good trip here. But the idea of getting value on the Derby winner in the Preakness is so foreign that I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. Think the last time that happened was I'll Have Another in 2012.

I so hope she gets a G1 win before she retires. She's come so close so many times.

I noticed that Wesley Ward had two horses entered in the first part of this card (races 1 & 5), but scratched them both. Appears that he really doesn't like the turf course at the moment.

Prevalence drifted way out in the stretch there in the Sprint. Super Chow wins.

Note that race 5 was off the turf.

If that merits an inquiry, the Derby should have received an FBI investigation.

I think reason he is taking money is Irad,,,,,,,despite Irad has a rather dreadful record in routes at PIM that aren't 1 turns.

However, when I saw him getting off his trailer he looked very solid, compared to some others who looked a bit "ribby" to my eye. 17 hands high, a big boy.......reminds me a little of Exaggerator. This is a stretch for him but I just like him.

So I like him but the whole race isn't giving us very good odds. So I'll just do a "never-lasixed in entire career" exacta or trifecta box using 7,5,2,3 and not bet very much.

(pretty sure that's the way the 2022 KY Derby superfecta came in, paid big balloons)

Only races I did well in so far was the Sir Barton and the Jim McCay, and in the latter because I played a superstition wager, before my Mom died she would keep telling me that every time she remembered to look at the digital clock on her wall it said 1:11. So I have played that combo a few times in my life since then, if the horses look game. And many times it has come in like that. Thanks Mom.

Yesterday, I had 4th-ism. ugh.

Thought it was a jockey's objection?
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

for betting purposes, my brother's picks based on names. he picked Rombauer in the 2021 Preakness and Mystik Dan in the Derby, among others, for reference.

1st Catching Freedom (he prefers him over Dan now because of the silks...)
2nd Imagination
3rd Uncle Heavy
4th Mystik Dan

ETA: and Just Steel finishes last.
