I just wonder sometimes if Fipke does this naming thing totally on purpose just to get a laugh over watching everybody go bananas over the names he chooses! It's just hard to believe that someone who made a few billion dollars in the diamond business could possibly be this crazy! Great wealth does sometimes breed eccentricity (or maybe vice versa), but he’s just getting so nuts with this stuff that it makes me think it might be just a con.

Earlier, someone noted that Fipke uses these names so that he knows the breeding of the horse based on name alone. Also that his office manager actually names them.

Dallas Stewart said that, about why he names them that way. And I was told that it was his office person/secretary who actually submits them. I don't know how much input he has, but some of the names are just absurdly bad.

If it’s an office manager as in a civilian who manages his personal or business affairs, then it makes sense. A true horse person or racing manager wouldn’t let these atrocities persist.

I knew Credit Downgrade was a Klaravich name before I even got to the pedigree, but seeing that this is a colt out of The Fugue just makes it even more tragic. It’s one of the worst names theyve had and they give it to one of their best bred purchases.
