got very emotional when we finally made it to CD and went into the museum. Got really emotional when I saw the rosary hanging from Barbaro's halter

Lost a lot of museum time because there was an 18 wheeler issue on Watersson Expressway and it stalled traffic, plus Churchill is geofenced intentionally to thwart Uber (apparently) so it messed with our GPS

Drove by a huge farm (I drove all 6 hours myself) on way to hotel, thought "wow I hope there's a sign for what farm this is," see a large black bust of a horse head with a blue shadow roll. Holy shit its Old Friends and that is Medina Spirit. What do you mean this is all real and not just a figment of my psychosis?
Have a great time! KY during Derby Week is like Disneyland for racing fans.

I hope you get to Old Friends---Silver Charm is still looking perky but who knows for how long? I don't know if Little Mike and Game on Dude are still in the same paddock--in 2018 (has it been that long?) Little Mike was the boss and you had to work to get Game on Dude a carrot! War Emblem was still there at the time, separated by double fences.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Was there recently and yes both are in the same paddock. Game on Dude isnt allowed treats due to his colic a while back

Not a good start to Thursday at CD... #6 just went down in race 2? but seems okay according to the call? another horse tossed their rider as well. Yikes on bikes but at least horses are okay? Not sure about the jockeys though.

Both horses involved in Churchill R2 incident were safely apprehended by the outriders, according to vet. Working to confirm status of riders.

What?!

Some guy on Twitter said he’s sore, and that the trainer said it…but that’s false; all Beckman said is that he isn’t a fluid mover

Interview with Larry Demeritte about West Saratoga. What a horseman he is and I just so hope he can win.

Do you think John Stewart is trying to get under Repole's skin by saying Fierceness is gonna scratch?

Check and see what hours the Museum is open, then plan on spending a couple of hours there.
Ohh, forgot to mention, prepare for long waiting periods between races. You have a couple of choices, you can either go wait in line at the bathroom or you can wait in line to make a bet, but you can't do both.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Leave it to CDI to spend millions on luxury boxes and fancy eateries....but not build enough restrooms, especially for women. Stupid male architects/contractors don't seem to understand that you need twice the amount of facilities for ladies than for men.

take out the mirrors and the line moves much faster.

"take out the mirrors and the line moves much faster."

Seriously? You think that it's VANITY that causes ridiculous (and potentially humiliating) lines at ladies' rooms?
Really should try walking in the shoes of someone who desperately needs a restroom.

you can whip it out and go. depending on what we're wearing, we need to get half undressed then redress. not exactly the mirrors that cause the issue here.
